It uses DfT generic-model groupings, publishes source/release metadata and does not infer the status of an individual car. The MOT model directory is derived from DVSA's 2024 anonymised MOT tests and results under the Open Government Licence v3.0. It covers 28,485,981 unique Class 4 normal initial tests. A fail or PRS result counts as an initial failure. It describes MOT test performance, not overall mechanical reliability, and cannot replace checking the history and condition of a specific car. ### Headline MOT figures (DVSA 2024, MotorMkt processing) - UK initial pass rate: 71.2% across 27,451,261 tests in 1,152 published make/model groups. - By vehicle age: 86.1% (3–5 years), 78.0% (6–9), 65.0% (10–14), 57.4% (15–30). - Age is a stronger predictor of MOT outcome than make for most vehicles. - Failure categories appearing most often in a model group's top six: headlamp aim, condition, tread depth, mechanical brake components, wipers, washers. - Make-level pass rates and per-model tables are at /mot-reliability/{make}. ## Not offered MotorMkt is not a marketplace — it does not list cars for sale, connect buyers and sellers, or handle transactions between users. ## Technical - Website: https://motormkt.co.uk - API: https://api.motormkt.co.uk - Sitemap: https://motormkt.co.uk/sitemap.xml - Sitemap index (includes /cars/* and /mot-reliability/* child sitemaps): https://motormkt.co.uk/sitemap-index.xml - Full documentation: https://motormkt.co.uk/llms-full.txt ## Contact - Email: support@motormkt.co.uk - Business entity: Horizon Frame Limited, registered in England & Wales, company no. 16132455, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF.
